Inclusion Support
The Inclusion
Support Agencies (ISAs) is an initiative of the Inclusion and Professional
Support Program funded by the Australian Government Department of
Education, Employment and Workplace Relations.
Partnership
The Inclusion
Support Agencies’ role is to work in partnership with Commonwealth funded
children’s services including:
- Long Day Care
- Occasional Care
- Family Day Care
- In-Home Care
- School Age Care
- Vacation Care
Quality Care and Education
A team of
Inclusion Support Facilitators (ISF’s) assist children’s services to:
- Identify and implement
practical ways to support the inclusion of all children
- Strengthen relationships by
recognising and valuing the diversity of the community
- Work in partnership with
families and support networks
- Link with relevant community
groups and organisations
- Engage in ongoing reflection
and continuous improvement
Inclusion and Diversity
ISF’s
assist children’s services to create inclusive environments for all children
and their families.
Support
includes:
- Assistance with preparation
of Service Support Plans (SSP’s)
- Access to specialist
equipment
- Providing resources and
information
- Access to Bicultural Support - click here to access details
- Facilitating access to
Inclusion Support Subsidy (ISS) and Flexible Support Funding (FSF)
Particular
support is available for:
- Children from diverse
cultural and linguistic backgrounds
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander children
- Children with Refugee status
- Children with high ongoing
support needs including children with a disability
